Recycling is easy and convenient for residents. You can do your part by separating paper from bottles and cans to help reduce contamination and to increase the value of your recyclables. If you have any questions about what can be recycled, check Allied's Residential Recycling page.
Allied Waste Services of San Mateo County (Allied) provides residents who live in single-family homes with curbside recycling, plant materials and garbage collection service. Garbage service is provided weekly and recycling and plant materials collection is provided every other week. The Curbside Recycling Program collects recyclables in two 18-gallon bins: one for mixed paper and one for bottles/cans. In addition to mixed paper and bottles/cans collection, residents can recycle cardboard, household batteries, cell phones and used motor oil through the Curbside Recycling Program.
If you need:
- Additional free 18 gallon bins to set out recyclables
- A complete list of materials that are accepted for collection through the Curbside Recycling Program
- Curbside Recycling Program participation instructions
- A calendar denoting the weeks recycling and plant materials are collected.
